I'm concerned about safety at my current self-storage location in San Diego. I've heard there have been some break-ins lately. I want to find somewhere new to store my extra stuff that's safe. Are there any certificate or rating programs that rate safety of storage location? I found this one Self Storage, San Diego that's close to my home, but how do I really know the place is safe? Can I trust it? Where are some good places in San Diego?

Now that is just preposterous.

BTW, I have heard great things about the Public Storage facility on Raytheon...just east of 805. Tell 'em I sent you.

Ah... you do know that Glen Ellyn, Illinois is 1671 miles from San Diego...?

Anyway, try the Better Business Bureau of San Diego. Always a good place to go with this sort of question. —Ted E.

Ummm, Perplexed, that's in the UK, a little far for me, but thanks.

I really like Ted E.'s suggestion, that was a great website. I think I'm going to go with AcrossTownMovers. Thanks again Ted!

Dexter, the point was you wanted a safer place. Nobody provides more safety than Bob. You probably should of been more specific as to the location. I figured if you were looking in Glen Ellyn, you would want the very best.

It’s been a busy two months and I haven’t found a storage facility yet. The link above of the Across Town Movers company I provided is still a strong option, but if you have any other suggestions it would be greatly appreciated. What do you guys think?

I'm totally confused. Is this person even from Glen Ellyn? Is no one else baffled by this?
