Ahhhhh...sure signs of summer in Glen Ellyn: Sunset Pool is crowded, couples sit outside in the evening getting blown away with the euphoric surroundings, and hose mobiles line the parkways every Sunday evening for Monday a.m. pickup.

Does any company make a hose mobile at any cost that actually works (leak-free, stays in place when unwinding the hose, and winding the hose back in serial rather than "clump" fashion)?!

We have neighbors and family that are elderly or handicapped in such a way that a working one of these gadgets would really help.

Any ideas? Thanks!

I can't even begin to count the number I've been through - absolute garbage. I've been wanting to get something that works more than 1/3 of a season as well.

These look like possible candidates:

Rapid Reel

Cox Reels

Reel Craft

Ames Estate Hose Wagon $199 marked down from $299.

Ames Estate Hose Wagon exactly the same as above for $99.

MP, exactly what do you mean by that?

My older neighbor proudly demonstrated his water-powered auto-rewinding hose reel earlier this year. I don't know how much it costs, but it worked like a charm.

I have never had one I liked - but have some lovely clay vessels to hold some - the other hoses are just hidden behind the bushes! Smile

I heard that rumor, too. Somewhere in the CLEA.

They are listed quite differently, Ames looked like they only offered one, I thought it was just another outrageous example of Internet pricing. Whoops Smile

I bought a cloth hose at Menard's and it has been great so far. I can't find any online....hmmmm. Well, if they still have them, they come on a reel that could be a little easier to use but it's super lightweight. I really like it.

Most of the time you just need to replace these:
