I have helicopters all over my yard and there is not enough time on the weekend to get those cleaned up.

So I am gonna bite the bullet and get a service. Let me know what you think about Dave's?

Come look at my lawn and see if you'll hire me. Jim's Lawn Care...oh, how I wish I could make a living doing that.

The Arten's use Dave's LawnCare. I believe we pay either $33 or $35 for 175'x150' lot. We don't pay to have the clippings picked up, but half the time they do it anyway.

Fan, wait until JKoral gets that feeling of driving up his driveway and seeing the lawn cut perfectly and edged to his liking. In my case, it is the best 18 bucks I spend a week.....Jkoral will then be on this board as I was before singing the praises of his lawncare company.......

I use an outfit called Planet Earth.........Chris has been great.......Fan, let me know if you need the number..... Big Grin

GE Fan,
It is called working my a$$ off for a living. All we do during the week is work our a$$e$ off to make money. Then on the weekend, all we do is work our a$$e$ off cleaning the yard, mowing the grass, pulling weeds, trimming, blowing, etc. To be honest, I would like to have a little free time to go do other things and there is just not enough time in the week to do that with all that going on.

One thing though, what is happening to Western Ave. residents? First we get a superhighway and now more and more of us afflicted are turning to the dark side of hired lawn-care.

Why so touchy Koral?

Please turn your jest meter back on. To each their own with their lawn. Like I said, I enjoy working in my yard - I don't consider it work. For those that do, jest aside, hire away!

We enjoy working in yard. A lot.

Cleaning inside the house is the real chore. And we have yet to find anyone that didn't absolutely suck as a cleaning person...and I have fairly low standards.

It's probably the Western Avenue "grind" that's wearing on you! Isn't that sound annoying?

We are thinking of hiring a lawn service as well. I love doing it (ahhhh, peace and "quiet") but my time is way overtapped....

I use Great American landscaping. Sergio is great and IMJ is right, there is nothing like coming home on Friday after working a long week and seeing the yard all trimmed. It's great knowing that the only exertion I'll be doing out in the yard this weekend is cracking open a beer!

We seem to have two threads currently on lawncare recommendations. In the other thread I mentioned Greenwood as a good choice.

I also use Greenwood. I highly recommend that company.

Call George 630- 417-2458 if you need something done.

GE'58 how long have you used Greenwood?

Who does your laundry, Fish. Whenever I am admiring your lawn, I have to hold myself back from grabbing it.

Glad you're "grabbing it" in Fish's neighborhood and not mine.

Leaving the bag is intentional. First, I know where to find it when I need it. Second, it gives my house that "lived in" look.

It screams "upscale lifestyle". Some of us idiots actually walk or drive to J&S by ourselves.
