I need someone to do some tiling repair work - wall and shower area. Really old house. More of a repair/fill in where tile was removed for plumbing work. Any recommendations?

In the past, we have used an outfit called The Grout Doctor. I can't recall which one we used as this is a franchise operation with multiple locations.

I can say they did a bang-up job - restoring our tiled bath enclosures to nearly new condition. They saw down into the grout with special tools and do the equivalent of tuckpointing on the grout. They also polish and clean the tile and are certainly capable of repairs.

Wasn't too bad - about $350 per tub enclosure if I recall.

Flooropedics does agreat job of installing tile.
Since their beginning I think they have added repairs to their services.

The paper that comes every Wednesday has a ton of handymen in the classifieds. I'd call one of them.

We use Dennis Freese from Quality Tile in Bolingbrook. He does a GREAT job at good prices. We got his name from Century Tile; they recommended him.
