Leslie is so not good at everything they do (washes, details)...IMO...(commernce defense, Leslie fans!)...that I drive to downtown Hinsdale to go to Fuller's. For the same amount of money they do what seems like a mini-detail when you pay for a regular car wash. When I pay $3 to get the brake dust off my wheels, I don't just want them shot with cleaner and sent through the wash hoping for the best. Fuller's actually cleans the wheels...by hand. They do a very good detail, also. I've tried tima and time again to convince Doug Fuller to scope out a spot in GE...but he claims there are none.
But...if you want to stay in the area...the absolute best...again, IMO...is Mint. Chris used to operate out of Gearhead in downtown. Not sure if he is there any longer. He does all cars...but really does a great job on vintage cars.
Scotty's in Villa Park use to be real good! Actually dealerships are pretty good too. I get a heck of a good detailing at Sunrise Chevy for my Monte. If I recall, isn't detailing higher, like $50.00 - $200.00? They usually keep your car all day if not longer...
Clam Do you mean the Fuller's that is the awesome hardware/gift store/cooking store in Hinsdale also washes cars???? If so, that gives me even more reason to drive to my favorite shopping area!
BTW I am not the Scotty that does car detailing!

The Fuller's...the town of Fullersburg (now Hinsdale) and Fullersburg Woods are name after the family...started the carwash/service center before the Soukup's closed and they took over opening the hardware/gift/cooking store. Never been in there. There are Fuller's Car Washes all over, but the downtown Hinsdale location is by far the best. I think it is because the Fuller family works there on a daily basis.
FYI, they are related to Loie Fuller, the choreographer and dancer that got Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec all hot and bothered and was an inspiration for many of his works.
What any of this has to do with detailing a Vega....is a mystery.
