Hi,

Does anyone have a referral for a good carpenter? We want to do a very basic renovation of our basement. Just drywall, a couple of closets, and carpet. We have a bathroom roughed in but our plumber will handle that part. This will not be a fancy basement. No wet bar or mini kitchen. Just a room for the kiddies to play.

Let me know if you have anyone you'd suggest or not recommend.

Thanks.

GEFan/ACQ/JRPotts/someothernamethatescapesme did his own basement. Two times IIRC. I would recommend him. I know he's not busy right now.

Man, you gotta be all about dissin my street cred!

First time I ever heard it was in the show My Name is Earl, by the ex-wife character "Joy". (intentional)! After that, I heard it a number of times (tho most often by people less than 1/2 my age and more than twice my cool).

From wiki:
quote:
Oh, snap! is an expression popularized by Markie in the 1989 song "Just a Friend" that has since entered the mainstream as an expression of disbelief. The phrase is a polite substitution for "Oh, ****!". It has entered use as acknowledgment of a diss by third parties, to heighten the feeling of disrespect and insult. It can sometimes be used as an equivalent to "Oh, no, you didn't!" (shock that someone said an outrageous thing).

What's the world coming to if a middle aged white guy has to explain his references to cultural icon Biz Markie?
