We used Barecca (SP?) for just that before replacing with concrete. They did pretty good work. Still do a lot around GE. I think they are in Hinsdale.

OUt of curiousity, Clam, what did the concrete job run you and what sort of square footage? My long term plan is for concrete (I really can't stand blacktop) but the funds are a little low right now. (My employers aren't buying my explanation of the phase-in compensation levy they agreed to)

MI87 Sorry....never saw your question. We had it replaced after a ComEd subcontrator drove a heavy-@ss truck onto our blacktop driveway after a long, very wet spring. We live on a pretty extreme hill and I think most of my yard is land-fill...the driveway didn't stand a chance. I was going to replace it anyway. I took several bids from local concrete companies and went with a company located on North avenue in GE. I won't give the name. To be fair, they did a nice job for us. I mistakenly recommended him for another job...he ended up fleeing town after the job and left my friends with a mechanics lien on their house. Took them a while and a little bit of money for an attorney....but the lien was dropped. Shame, because he did a pretty good job on both jobs. I live on a postage stamp lot that is 50 x 113 (easy to landscape/garden/mow), have a single width drive that must be about 75 feet long. Cost was a shade over $5,000 about 3-4 years ago.
