Hi, I have someone that I use, very reasonable. I could pass your name and # along to him. Not sure if he would appreciate me putting his personal info on here and not sure if this response I am posting is private. Kind of new at this BB.
I highly recommend Care of Trees. Certified arborist Daniel Richardt has always been great to work with. The price will likely not be the lowest, but the results will be great.
The arborist will come out, review what needs to be done, and then give you the estimate. If these branches are high or around utility lines, be sure to use insured professionals. The phone # is: 630-545-0606.
I like these folks too and have used them many times. Just a word of warning that the last time I used them, they did not do a free estimate, but charged to come out and assess the situation. They are still worth it, but some people are caught off-guard by this.
I last used them for tree trimming after the storm last August. I had them on the phone before the storm had left the local radar to get our job in what I knew would be a long line.
I just looked at that paperwork and we were not charged a fee for that estimate. Maybe that was because I told them that I wanted to schedule the work as soon as possible, not shop the price.
I called them when a large limb broke (but did not fall) from one of our trees. They told me there would be a fee for the estimate, but if I selected them to do the work, that 100% of the cost of the estimate would be applied to my ultimate bill.

Winkler's Tree Service in Bellwood/LaGrange is very good. They have those large blue trucks all over. They do municipalities too! They are a big company.
