I'm trying to find someone to strip the old varnish from a garage door and restain and varnish it. I've tried a few painters but they aren't interested in this kind of outdoor work. Does anyone have experience with this type of project?

You might try Rich Schumann 858-3165; he does primarily paint jobs ("no job too small"), but maybe he would consider your job.
