Has anyone ever tried to get some trees cut down at their home. I have three trees that need to go. However, two of them are technically on village property. Over the last 50 years though, these trees have been butchered while trying to cut them away from the power lines.
What is the best route for me getting these things removed? Do I have a chance of getting rid of them?
"If you were the Governor of any other state, you would be a disgrace to that state."
No doubt you'll need to obtain official village permission any way you do it. We had a large back yard tree entirely on our property we wanted to have removed due to size, age and deteriotation. The tree contractor wouldn't touch it until we had GE come out and check for buried utilities. (the base was to be ground out).
We were flabergasted when a J-box was found buried 2 feet from the base of the tree. Apparently, long before we bought the house, a previous owner had sought to sell off the back property and got far enough into the project to have new utilities buried. Phone, gas, cable, etc. That was a very strange discovery indeed. I guess you never know.
The village also needed to know the diameter of the trunk for some reason. I told the lady at the village on the phone that the circumference was 12 feet. "But I need the diameter of the trunk" she said. I told her to divide by Pi. She had no idea what I was talking about. Is basic math no longer taught? I had to do the math for her.
