We need to install new windows on our house. Has anyone had experience, good or bad, with a particular company? Thanks.

I used Kornesczuk Windows and Doors and have nothing but good things to say about them. He has done windows, he has done custom doors, he has done french doors, etc.

I also own a house in Villa Park (who needs a place in Union Pier when you have that?) and we used Schmidt. The work was OK, the follow-up for repair was ignored. Sent him a letter, he disagreed with me. Whatever. I know I am in the minority when it comes to my feelings about that company.

We used Thermal Window Designers. Windows are made over in Elmhurst/Bensenville. Easy to clean from the inside. Louis is the man, 708-222-3800.

OK, guys, windows for the house, not Windows for the computer!

I had pretty bad luck with Windows from Bill. They kept breaking and turned bright blue every once in a while.

You can also try FE Wheaton and have them recommend a contractor. They carry American Weatherseal (vinyl) and Windsor (wood with vinyl cladding) and others.

kornezchuk (too hard to speel!) does a good job! very nice guy.
