We are going to be renovating our kitchen soon and would like to include an antique hutch. Any recommendations on where to look around the area? Thank you.

The Sandwich Antiques Market (in, where else, Sandwich, Illinois) has the best and largest selection of antique furniture that I've found. I think the next market is September 25.

Antiques on the Avenue, 535 Pennsylvania (across from, and 1/2 block, east of the post office).

It's actually about 25 dealers under one roof -- many of whom have many more offerings above-and-beyond what's on display. 858-1515.

Thank you both for your suggestions.

One of the windows we just had replaced had an original piece of stained glass. We are looking to have it reframed to place back into the window.

Any recommendations on where to have this done? (And ballpark of cost?)

The Kane County Flea Market is a great place to look as well.

Kane County is a good option, lots to choose from. It occurs on the first weekend of the month. Wear comfortable shoes, that you don't mind getting dirty. We have gotten lots of good buys there. If you go on Sunday afternoon, the dealers are willing to haggle quite a bit since they don't want to haul the stuff home again.
Another good place is in Richmond...on Rte 12. It is about an hour's drive and there are quite a few shops to choose from.
