How in the hell do you tell the difference between young Box Elder and Poison Ivy? I was doing some weeding around the house and couldn't help but notice a clump of new plants containing leaves of 3. I guess I'll know in a few days.

Bitterboy, once you get into the poison ivy you will never forget what it looks like.
Our backyard was a jungle when we bought our house and we quickly found out that we had poison ivy all along the backside of our house.
I have heard that poison ivy is prevalent around here.
If it is poison ivy I feel your soon to be pain.

I came across it once before at my old house. Other than hiring someone else to remove it, I used every precaution possible and still got it on my leg...it spread from there. The itch is 200 times worse than any mosquito bite. I know I have a Box Elder near my property, I hope that's what it is.
