Just a little water in my garage and office. The fan is on drying things out. I was just sitting here thinking about how much I hate no love no hate my house.

I need someone to unclog two window well drains. Any referrals?

I am using Ken Feller for drainage work. 630-858-8485.

I know that US waterproofing also works with window wells. We have used them for some cracks in our basement.

Ugh after having water I hated it when it rained and was always afraid of getting water again. I must say the water powered back up works great! When the power goes out I don't have to worry about a back up battery lasting or not.

Prior to remodeling the basement in '07, we invested in drain tiles around the edge of our house. ABD waterproofing. Even though we didn't have a water problem per se, we still thought it was a good investment prior to finishing off the basement. So glad we did this! We hear from other neighbors about how they dread the rain.

Now if someone can show me how to keep our backyard patio from accumulating water, that would be great.

After we had DMM Comfort install a water powered sump pump they suggested we have landscapers install a dry well for the yard. We looked into it and took their advise. Our yard used to hold water every time it rained but for the past couple years it has not been a problem. The landscapers that we had out for the dry well also ran the downspouts into the dry well and it is great. You can install these under patios. Kind of like the arboretum parking lot without the water filtration system

Same here... we never had standing water in the basement, but we had some seepage. Put in drain tiles for about $250 and haven't had a drop since.

Our landscaper recommended that we have our upper gutter cleaned. Turned out that those crazy helicopters were jammed in the top of the downspouts. The gutters were clean but the downspouts were clogged.

Daisy:

Who did you use to install the dry well? Were you happy with the work/price? Thanks.
