does anyone have a recommendation for a good painter that doesn't charge a fortune? i need someone to paint a family room, bathroom and half basement. thanks!

Fanette knows the name. She handled the hiring. Oldest Lil' Fanette is sick today so I didn't want to bother her.

We just had a bunch of painting done by Xtreme Painting; they just wrapped up today so I couldn't help responding to this request for painter referral.

A number of things impressed us about this group of guys, including their professionalism, their prices, and the great job they did. They arrived between 8 and 9 every day, were gone by 5, and got all the work done in the timeframe he originally estimated. They worked very quietly, too - not a lot of chatter. We have an old house and they resolved a lot of problems as part of the work (drywall patching, taping and mudding, sealing areas of beadboard wainscot, etc.).
