We used to use Early Times, but they have gotten some poor reviews lately. Any recommendations for someone in the area? Any experience with A-1?

That's strange - must be the weather - because I was just on Angie's List this morning looking at chimney cleaners.

I called a place called Gullickson's Chimney Cleaning 630-588-9858 this morning because of the glowing - and I mean GLOWING - recommendations on Angie's List.

Hopefully I'll hear back and I'll let you know how it goes.

ETA: heard back from him but couldn't coordinate our schedules until the week of 10/24/11. No big deal for me, but I can't report back for you.

You've probably already had your chimney cleaned, but if you haven't - I give this person, Steve Gullickson an enthusiastic thumbs up. He was timely, professional, kept the house clean, did a very thorough job and was very reasonably priced. $94 regular price, $10 off because I got his name off Angie's list.
