Does anyone have any recommendations for kitchen designers? I tried Kitchen Studio in GE, but they doubted they could do my project (gut remodel, including taking down kitchen walls, plus a very small bathroom and some etc) for less than $100,000. I'm sure they would do a great job, but I have a modest ranch in GE, doesn't make sense to put a Cadillac kitchen in it -- I am looking for more like a Toyota - smart design, lots of value for the money. I am considering Janco Design in Bloomingdale.
We also have a Ranch in Glen Ellyn. We used Drury Design, They did an great design without making the room bigger. We did take down a wall between the kitchen and dining room. Our work was done 4 years ago. They will work within any budget. Good Luck

Kitchen Walk - I checked out your other post about the 2007 kitchen walk, and the website you referenced talks only about the 2006 event. Is there a site up for this year? Thanks!
Sounds like Lacrosse America and the Glen Ellyn Chamber of Commerce. Two very busy organizations that are clueless to website updates
BTW...Glen Ellyn is now blessed with THREE kitchen retailers...in a postage stamp -sized CBD...in a town the size of Petticoat Junction. So use one of them. I cannot in good conscience recommend the Kitchens at Danada people because they were, quite frankly, super-unfriendly to me when we redid our kitchen. So...in the grand tradition of bad deeds coming back to bite you in the ***, I will steer you away from them. Use one of our myriad kitchen peddlers.
Dear outonalimb, I am a kitchen designer and would love to talk with you about your project. I have my own company. I am very costumer oriented and can provide you with a number of references to qualify this. Please contact me and I will take a look at your project.
