Also need to recycle burned out CFL bulbs--any suggestions? I thought these expensive bulbs were supposed to last 10 years?? I have three that already died...
How I wish, how I wish you were here. We're just two lost souls Swimming in a fish bowl, Year after year, Running over the same old ground. What have we found? The same old fears. Wish you were here.
I found out the hard way that you have to buy special CFL bulbs for your dimming fixtures. Perhaps that's your problem. The dimmers kill the regular CFL's. I was told you can send them back to the manufacturers for a correct replacement.
Office max, staples . radio shack will recycle rechargeable batteries. I recently discovered Batteries Plus recycles both kinds of batteries. Home Depot and Ikea recycle CFLs. The new cfls are much cheaper and seem to work better. LEDS seems to be the future.
that's good to know about the dimmers because my dining room light fixture (the only thing we have in the house on a dimmer) flickers a lot and I was wondering why.
