When my wife worked in Hinsdale 1 day a week we took the rug rat to Children's Village Academy, 40 S. Clay St., 789-3494. I think it was < $50/day...they give a discount for more than one kid....so 2 might be $90 or something...not sure if they do school pickup...probably not all the way to GE. I know the YMCA will either pickup your kid after school and bring them to the Y or take care of them at the school itself depending on which school they go to... YMCA Programs

Looked into that and you have to be enrolled for the whole week.

middlein87, I know of a lady who has very flexable child care options. She operates out of her home and as long as her schedule and your schedule are compatable I wouldn't think there would be any problems. If you are interested you can provide me with your contact info. and I can get you in touch with her.

I think Childtime on Geneva will let you enroll one day per week and they do have a van. I took my kids to Kindercare in Lombard for a good number of years but they don't bus to GE even though it really isn't that far - especially from Forest Glen. You might see if Wheaton College's babysitter list would be fruitful....

Can I ask which elementary school? Or, is the school ager older than that?

Isn't the Y program housed at Lincoln for Lincoln kids? I am suprised you can't do one day a week. I would definitely look into the Wheaton College list...is this something you need right now just to the end of the school year or is this something you need when school gets out or, what? I'm thinking you might try calling Glenbard West to find out if they still have students that do the childcare classes and ask the teacher to talk to her better students about your needs. It's a thought, anyway.
