Wheaton police probe second cougar sighting

I thought maybe they were referring to the bar at "The Bank", but this is an actual critter sighting. Eek

We have cougars up here. We mostly see them in the winter when we're snowmobiling through the woods. The latest problem is Timberwolves. They've gotten a few small dogs (even one someone was walking off leash) and last week they got one of the baby calves in a herd of cattle that was behind an electric fence. Oh, and there was a bobcat in the next door neighbor's yard killing a rabbit about a month ago (rabbits sure can scream).

Perhaps the helicopter was overkill.

Mrs. Arten, we cannot underestimate these animals, though using a Longbow Apache is a bit over the top, I doubt the radar would pick-up a cougar.
