You may want to check out the following website: http://www.1-800-save-a-pet.com/shelterpages/70527.htmlIt looked pretty cool and lets you search for homeless dogs within a certain mile-radius from where you live.

Hi Anne - Also try Petfinder.com My husband and I just adopted a dog this past weekend. He is a Westie and lost his home in Hurricane Katrina. (They are small dogs, but are over 10 pounds) We went through the Westie Rescue of Missouri. http://www.westierescueofmissouri.com/

I have a question sort of on this topic: does anyone know if GE has a limit on how many dogs a household can have? We already have 2, but would like to rescue another dog who is a victim of Katrina. Thank you.
