Sorry to hear about your loss Miss Amy: as you know, you are one of my favorites, next to the Clam-man. Sometimes even better! ShoreThing is a huge doggie lover and her thoughts are with you all.

Clammy,
So so sorry for your loss. Just reading the thread brought me to tears. I am sure that Otto is in a better place. I know it doesn't make it any easier, but think of the 14 wonderful years she enjoyed your family. I think she's chasing many squirrels up there.
Hugs to you and your family.

But, if you remember, Amy had to "put down" not one, but two, pets a couple of weeks ago and no one said a damn thing. No one brought her flowers and no one posted heartfelt words of grief. Nope, you all just sat by and watched poor Amy struggle with the decision of whether to flush her fish or throw them into the yard.
Amy, I know how hard that must have been for you....my condolences.
My Dear JRPotts, You, sir, are a poophead! My fish have a new home with a lovely tank and cute little three-year olds gazing at them all day...I didn't have to flush them - did you forget that someone came to my aid? Anyway, I can't deny that when our guinea pig died, I was more effected than I thought I would be...and when we had two orange tetras named Fridge and Sweetness (Fridge still lives in that new tank mentioned above) I actually almost cried when Sweetness died. It was like the man himself had died again....and my boy was really sad too. Anyway, fish aren't nearly as hard to lose as dogs. I know - I've been there. It's tough.

Bourbon-slushies are due for a revival soon. Thought we might have a gathering by now but the home projects are taking longer than anticipated (why am I not suprised by that?). We really will have a BB Party sometime...and will toast to Otto.

Guess I know where I stand with Amy!
I am a dyslexic agnostic insomniac. I lay awake at night wondering if there is a dog.

Jen...who would have thought that Otto would have been the one to bring you out again...How ya been? Clam...very sorry to hear of your loss, but sounds like Otto lived a much better life than those hangin' out at PPP. We too have a much older dog who may leave us soon...A Sibrerian Huskie named Niko...best 90 pound lap dog the family has ever had. Every time this happens we vow never to put ourselves through it again. As for fish...I've personally never had a problem flushing them.

So sorry for you and your family Clam. When our cat Sydney had to be put to sleep (kidneys failing) we cried like kids.

Hi my2c! I'm ok- how are you? What's new? Sorry I've been so bad about keeping up. I have a new job now that's cramping my style of getting online during the day...lol. I didn't realize how little I actually worked at my last job... What have you been up to? Have I missed any good BB threads?

Wow, those were some long-lived Boxers; they must have been well-bred or well cared for (or both). Mine is 5, and still a mental case.
