We have recently fostered 5 kittens from Dupage County Animal Control. We brought them back two weeks ago and we found out they are all still waiting to be adopted. We already have two cats and although we wish for more a my husband does NOT want to get any more. If you are at all interested or know someone who may be , please contact Carrie at Dupage Animal Control at 630-407-2803. They are VERY affectionate playful kittens , and get along great with dogs and other cats. Here is a link to pictures and if you click on the pictures, there is a description of each kitten. Please pass this message on to anyone who is looking for a kitten. Thank you. If the link does not work, type in www.photobucket.com/catpictures in your web browser.

We have a stray kitten in our neighborhood. The kitten is beautiful and playful and I'm working on helping it to trust people. The kitten is maybe four months old and comes out to play with us everyday. If you are interested in saving an animal from a hard life, let me know.

I would advise bringing the kitten to DuPage County Animal control. If it is social and adoptable they will keep it until it finds a home.

While I admit that I didn't contact the county, all the shelters that foster kittens in homes are full. This kitten is making remarkable progress but it won't do well in a cage. I was able to touch it today. It is very gentle and really does need a home type setting. Thanks anyway.

Be careful about the health of stray cats. My sister acquired a kitten by feeding a stray, and when she took it to the vet, found that it had feline AIDS. Then she had to pay to have it put to sleep by the County! And, of course, the family was attached to it, etc.

My cat was diagnosed with AIDS over 10 years ago. She's still going strong. Funny how that disease is.

Here is a kitten update. I caught the kitten on Monday and she went to the vet on Tuesday and all is well. She is very healthy for a stray. She is 5 months old and is doing very well in my home. She learned all about the fine art of the afternoon nap today with my husband. My message to anyone who has read this far, be compassionate when it comes to stray animals. Please take it upon yourselves to do whatever you can to help them. My three animals were rescued and all have become wonderful pets.

Bless you and the family for taking care of this little one...it looks like she found her 'forever home'? My two cats are adopted and were picked up as adult strays by DuPage County animal care (they both obviously had been pets since both were already neutered and declawed when picked up). The county has a chip program with a very nominal cost, if you're interested. Most vets too.
