Speaking as your Grand Pooh Bah, let me say this:

Yes, the initial post "smelled" like spam. A lot of those get posted here on the GEBB; I generally delete them within minutes. Unsolicited links to blatantly commercial sites are a definite no-no.

But -- as noted upstrean -- a WHOIS search showed that this was posted from a Great Britain location -- and that one Gerald Mason (presumably poster "Gerry") is the Registrant Contact.

Well, for starters, it's well known that most Brits have a dramatically different relationship with their dogs than most of us Yankees do.

In my opinion, the site is heavy on useful content, and light on advertising. It's a "shade of gray" call, but since I've met so many first-time dog owners over the years... well, most really need help. This site is a start.

Other helpful new-owner pages (that are completely non-commercial) include Puppy Training, and two special home-made dog treat recipies, here and here.

The point being... for now, I consider them innocent until proven guilty. In the meantime, feel free to post your helpful (and non-commercial) dog-raising links.

(Please, do not post "links" as "link titles," or I'll have to take them down. New policy until you fine folks learn how to post links properly.)
