A medium-sized black dog--looked like a German Shepherd mix--was found wandering 11/26 near the fire station on Taft Avenue (the street just south of Roosevelt behind Oberweiss).

It was wearing a collar and dragging a leash.

The dog was taken to the nearby Glen Ellyn Animal Hospital, but unfortunately it does not have an implanted identification chip nor county or G.E. tags.

The dog will remain at the hospital--which is open from 10 a.m. to noon today--until Monday. On Monday, the dog will be given to Animal Control.
