How about naming the dog: Thịt chó.

FYI this is similar to when my youngest named his goldfish Sushi.

I am already being deluged with several stupid names. I don't need any others. No prize is involved.

My back up name is Otter.

I must say....I hate all of you. Not just GE Fan.

I believe I will go cry now.

I hate to say this but I really like Otter (as in a name not a dish)

I hate to say this but I have now lost a lot of respect for you Perplexed. You used to be one of my Top 5 posters on the board. Your star has now fallen out of orbit.

Maybe I'm just on a different orbit.

See you later, I'm otter here.

And with the drubbing that your name is getting, maybe you should call it District 41 Referendum.

I knew someone who named their dog D-O-G. When it's pronounced without accent on any syllable, it sounds Native American...dee-oh-gee. People always asked how the dog's name was spelled.

What about Duffy or Mott? This link will help explain the reasoning.

Really cute dog, BTW! Congratulations!

Is that a silver lab?

How about Cooper?

I know D-O-G, he was in a dog training class with Boomer two summers ago.

Hi,

Emmett is a really cute name. I'd go with that. BTW - is your dog the same type as the one Gus bought last year? That dog is beautiful. Best of luck with the new guy.

Silver lab...yes.

Won't name a dog after our car. Would rather name it 525i as we have a neighbor whose maiden name is Cooper and she already goes by Coop. Might be offensive to her.

We have a friend whose son is named Emmett. The Ferguson's...live in Hinsdale. Wouldn't be able to explain that.

Yes, same parents as Gus's dog. They will sort of be brother and sister.

You're back up name sucks too. It sucks big time.

sorry Clam, you need this board.

I totally agree that you own the naming rights. I used that manuver on my kids cuz I didn't want to be stuck with a "fluffy" or some other sort of 5th gradeish name.

what about Zek?
or my older daughter looked at him and suggested Thunder. Younger daughter suggested Smokey.

I have a friend in Elmhurst. Name is Chris Zec. That wouldn't work. Maybe you meant Zeek?

Nobody gave U.S. Cellular this much **** when they bought the naming rights to Comiskey Park. Or did they?

In her condition, Fanette should be in bed...sleeping...and you should be cleaning the house and putting the children to bed.

I hope you made dinner tonight.

Kids go to bed at 7. You know that. How else do you think I find so much time to post on this stupid village message board.

The dog's eyes are such a beautiful blue and the coat is grey with a blue cast so I think I would go with Blue. Blue is a name that is ok for either a male or female.
