How about Luna?

Cue music: seven, seven, three - two, oh, two - LUNA.

That dog is outrageously cute, or maybe I should say handsome.

Okay, I've never named an animal in my life and I've owned, personally 3 so far, and since I was a kid -family dogs/cats 5 or 6?? Anyway, this is one of my creatues and I didn't name her.

HER name, (female mind you) is Laci. If she isn't the biggist butch dog you've ever met, then I don't know... she should have been named - Bertha, Spike, Blackie, Schultz,
On the flip side, this is my mother's dog, -one of my inhereted items from her:

her name is Fifi. Fluff cotton ball if I've ever seen one! Mom named her right!

I was reminded more of Luna Lovegood from the Harry Potter series.

I had a dog named Hutch when I was a kid. My wife and I had a cat named Cubbie. This summer, we rescued a stray for three days and my kids named him Ollie.

Next year when I get a dog, I will name him Chief....for obvious reasons.

The dogs across the street are named - Horrible Animal #1 that is moving, Horrible Animal #2 that is moving and Horrible Animal #3 that is moving.

Don't let anyone talk you out of your first choice. Orbit is a fine name and trounces those suggestions pulled out of the dustbin by others.

If the family resists, just do what I did when "Otis" was met with resistance....call the dog nothing but that for 2 weeks. They will eventually wear down just like a certain someone did all those years ago when Jake and Taylor were her choices....yuck. Boy, am I glad she's gone.

For such a fine cook, I am shocked by your support of such an obviously horrible name.

He nailed Otis spot-on for me. I've got to give him some creative leeway on this one.

The eyes will eventually turn gold. Don't get attached to the blue eyes thing...you'll only be disappointed.

How about Petey? When you want to sound manly, just Pete.
Studies show that dogs respond better to names with an ie or y ending.

I have a good friend named Petey. Would be good to name her after him.

The twelve-year-old child over my shoulder (due to snow) thinks that Stella would be good. You know, like, stellar and then you can keep with the space...rocket...to-the-moon-Alice theme. Hey, Alice! Stella and Alice. Never mind. I want a puppy and I want to use one of those!

P.S. Aren't you glad you asked for help?
