I take my grandpuppy to Classy Canine Creations on Hill avenue in Wheaton-not far from the College Avenue train station. She (grandpuppy) always seems happy with her cleaning , haircutting and nail trimming.
We take our Sheltie to the Glen Ellyn Animal Hospital. They have a really good groomer there. She charges us $36. The number for grooming is 469-7668. Here is their website.
We took our (now deceased)black schnauzer to Sandy at Glen Ellyn Animal Hospital. She always did a great job and our dog enjoyed going there. My only objection was that they required a new immunization for kennel cough every six months in order to groom her and that got expensive. I don't know if the groomers who are not affiliated with a vet also require that.
We get our dog the kennel cough 1 time a year- that is enough for our groom- We are trying Petco in Danada tomorrow- couldn't get in to our normal groom- We will see how that goes.

We've used Petco before. Price was good - $24. They tried a new cut on my dogs. I didn't care for it and they took it shorter. The only thing I didn't like was they have to be there all day. My sister has used their puppy daycare for about nine months. She has been very happy with that, too.
We had been taking our Sheltie to Glen Ellyn Animal hospital. I found out just this past weekend that Kitty is no longer there. She was really good with our dog. We took him a couple of months back not knowing that she was gone and they did not do as good of a job. I don't think they have the experience that she had. So I think we will be looking for a new place too. I would like to find somewhere that is by appointment. I too do not like leaving him there all day.
I have large, medium and small breed dogs and a cat. I take them to Classy Canine Creations. They are right at Hill Ave at the tracks by College Ave Train Station. They do an awesome job on my dogs. My cat they cut like a little lion in the summer she looks great! They specialize in many breeds. The crew is always so upbeat. Neat shop, boutique and barkery! Competative costs too. Here is their website:
