I have an uninvited guest living in my attic (I think it might be a racoon with babies) and want it removed with extreme prejudice.

I would appreciate any reliable and reasonable animal removal specialist recommendations.

Thanks, Mrs. Yoss is calling. She wants to ensure they are "no kill". Roll Eyes

Me? I just want them gone.

Good luck with this - a house down the street from us had this problem years and years ago, but it persisted as every spring the now-grown babies who were born in the attic tried to get back inside. I remember I used to walk by their house and they had these huge traps on the roof, just for that reason. That went on for years.

We had them in the attic for a loooonnngg time growing up. The damage they do with the urine and other stuff is unbelievable! Good Luck!!...seems every time we got rid of them and repaired the damage...they would return with friends and family.

Not sure about critters but my husband has said that I have "bats in my belfry". Does that count?

We had the same problem years ago. The trapper we hired (Trapper Joe?), caught the mom and kept her in his truck for a number of days to make her mad. He then released her by our house and she went up to get her babies and they moved on. The theory was he couldn't trap them all or leave the babies without a mom, so he just wanted to make our attic seem like a bad place to be!

I had a momma racoon and her babies in my house in Lombard. Total of 8 racoons and the guy "took care" of them in my drive way, if you know what I mean.

I don't know that Mrs. Yoss would like that, but he did what I wanted to do. Those things tormented me for days as he couldn't find all the babies at first. He had to come back 3 times and get them all, as they would get hungry, they would make more and more noise. Drove my dog crazy, all night long....

Good Luck....

My neighbor skillfully had a squirrel removed. I'll ask her when I see her to see who it was. It was handled very well.

Confirmed, it's a racoon and babies. Trap is set, the wait is on.

Understand now we have to get all new insulation for the attic. Oh boy.

I posted this pic a few years ago, so disregard the arrows pointing to said cicadas, but one resident did this to trap their critter in their attic.

That didn't take long-Mama is in the trap. Now we have to get the babies, then replace the insulation.

I think Pig Daddy could fit this beast in his smoker.

Had the same thing happen five years ago, make sure they get ALL the babies...not pleasant if they don't. The guy had to come back three weeks later and crawl 50 feet down the eave. Nasty.

Saw this today, could be worse...
