Hi Rosie,

We are talking about the same place but it is:

http://www.luckypawsguesthouse.com

We love it too. I just started bringing my lab there last fall, but Judy has been highly recommended from our friends at the dog park at SARC for YEARS!

She has a fenced yard in the back for the dogs. I trust her completely with my dog. And her fees are extremely reasonable. I know she does doggie day care as well as boarding for vacations. The dogs are free to walk around the house and at night they sleep in their crates for safety. Its the next best thing to being in their own homes.

There was a thread on this from last summer, but it's now closed. We're going away for Spring Break and need a place to board the dog. She can't stay home because she still can't have the run of the house without supervision -- she's a chewer/eater, mostly.

The Dog Spot and GE Animal Hospital were named. Any recent experiences at these places or others that people are happy with?

Someone please tell me I'm not the only one. But every time I see the thread title on the forum list asking for a good place to board a dog, I find myself thinking "Well, right across the a$$, of course!" Confused Same place you'd boot them!

Well, our dog spent her time at Glen Ellyn Animal Hospital and we sprung for two 20 minute walks a day and a bath before pick up. She seems happy and healthy and none the worse for wear. Thanks for all the advice.

Maybe by next year she will be trustworthy enough to allow her to stay in our home alone or in a sitter's home/daycare without fear of her chewing the place up. I did kind of like the fact that she was at a vet's office and if something went wrong, they would certainly have taken proper care of her.
