So, I can't help but wonder if any of the informed and vocal Glen Ellyn residents posting on the GEBB are thinking about running for a local office.

I live in unicorporated GE, with the chickens and goats, so I can only complain. "Everyone thinks their opinion matters. Don't argue with a nobody. A farmer doesn't bother telling a pig his breath smells like s***."

What is the legal definition of resident? I'm kinda like that Emanuel guy, as I'm really not living in town at the moment, but I have an address here, but it's being rented by another at the moment. So technically I can run?! How's that Hope & Change Working Out? Over 10% Unemployment

GEM-You're on to something. If Rahm can pull this off, so can I. I'm getting my neighbors to help with my campaign. "Everyone thinks their opinion matters. Don't argue with a nobody. A farmer doesn't bother telling a pig his breath smells like s***."

Sorry, Yoss. It looks like you are out of luck - you, too, GEM. I checked the website and it says you need to have lived in the Village for a year and be a registered voter. If you have any felonies in your past, it looks like you can forget about it, too. The Park DIstrict Board is still an option for you, Yoss!!

HHHmmm, what's their policy on candidates with felonies? I know they have some folks on the board that have accused of robbery... "Everyone thinks their opinion matters. Don't argue with a nobody. A farmer doesn't bother telling a pig his breath smells like s***."
