Blagojevich tries to deflect Rezko heat to Obama, others

Our Gov. is a real stand up guy for his party. Instead of taking responsibility for the Rezko situation he is trying to deflect it to other politicians, including presidential candidate Barak Obama. IMO-Blago is a sorry excuse for a man and an embarrassment to the state of Illinois.

I'm a conservative, but if I had to have a Democrat for president I'd like to see Obama. Clinton seems to be a divisive politician and our country needs unity. Let's consider that if Obama were president he would be likely to try and take care of his home state with regard to federal funding, etc.

Bottom line-Blago should man up and take responsibility and leave others out of it. Odds of that happening-0.

Blagojevich is right, of couse -- Rezko had ties with nearly everyone.

But I suspect Blagojevich has much more to fear from Rezko than Obama. And having worked in state government for some time, I recognize this as typical Blagojevich. He's always without guilt, always doing the right thing, never responsible for the bad stuff. Believe me, Illinois state government is in a *total* mess. Agencies are understaffed, clueless political appointees continue to rise to the top, and the no one knows what anybody else is doing.

I left because I couldn't stomach the politics of Blagojevich's cronies, plain and simple.

The Rezko trial will be fireworks. George Ryan is probably clearing off the bottom bunk for Rod.

Yoss, as you know, I lean liberal - particularly with social programs and the like but I lean conservative when it comes to fiscal matters. Blago makes me nuts - talk about divisive. If we get Hillary, I think our national picture will be as divisive as our state picture. I want to like her but I just can't see her bringing people together.

Fan-Thanks for posting the article, I forgotten how he has screwed over his own family members.

Blago does make it hard to be a liberal on election day.
The man is horrendous. But (IMO) there are simply too many important issues at stake - that are under assault at the fed level - to risk a Repub governor.
So until the Dems nominate ANYONE else, I find myself holding my nose and voting fro Blago.

(Having said that, I'm not sure how much benefit Dem control is if we end up with legislation as execrable as last fall's school prayer law!)
