Clooney supports Obama, but won’t hit the trail

I'm one of those who don't like actors telling me how to think or vote. Just vote for the one that LOOKS presidential. Wink

Just curious-Who do you think Republicans PREFER to face in November? I think it's Clinton since there's something about her & Bill that's easy to rally people against.

For some reason and this is my personal opinion, I think that Hillary reminds people of the Democrats' reluctance over the past few years to align itself or give the time of day to the American center . Although Bill hosted some conservative/moderate views, the majority of the party has trickled further toward the left. Given that she's has been a more predominat figure within the party during this time, people tend to associate her with this movement away from the center. On the other hand Obama is new, he's fresh and doesn't carry as much baggage as she does and people tend to associate this with true change. No doubt the Republican party would rather face Clinton. My guess is that McCain, if he's the guy and depending on his runnig mate, will crush her. Obama poses more of a challenge, but only little more. McCain will crush him too. Romney and Huckabee? No chance.

There are 80, million voters eligible to vote in the next national election in November that historically have not voted. Their make-up consists of Afro-Americans, Hispanics and single females. "If the Democrats get 10% of this vote, they win the White House." so says Tom Delay.
