Dear Amy: I agree with about 80% of what you are saying and the other difference is logical as well, we're just on other sides of the fence on some issues.

I just hope the USA lasts as long as Rome. But from what I saw in South Beach, we are definitely an "empire" (shall I dare utter that word) on the decline if we are not careful.

The problem with your comments is that your are stereotyping an entire group of people by the actions of some, not all, the group. Believe me, there are plenty of straight folks out there that join in sex clubs, wife-swapping, etc... It's just not exposed like the media does with homosexuals (talk about an agenda!).

You are also basing loving relationships just on sex. Believe me, if being gay was just about sex, my partner would be a phone number in my wallet. We wouldn't put up with all the trials and tribulations that go with any loving relationship if our relationship was based purely on sex alone.

Dear Ring: In no way shape or form, should the government impede on the personal decisions or habits of it's citizens unless it is detrimental to the common good, sort of like the seat belt law or helmet law on a motorcycle. For better or worse, the definition of mainstream is in play whether we like it or not. That's called society. Maybe I'm old fashioned and set in my ways but the rearing of a child and it's perception by others is important in the development of a young mind. I've traveled the world maybe 10 times over and this is what it is. Whether in "civilized/industrial" society or in the most primitive. Who am I to judge but I'm not the only one.

Clam, I was going to get out of my car to look at it, but it was too close to the shelter. Very difficult to get a good look at it with all the homeless people using your hood to hold their bags.
