Glen Ellyn residents interested in serving as Village President, Village Trustee, Village Clerk or Library Trustee are being sought by the Nominating Committee of the Civic Betterment Party. The Committee has started interviewing prospective candidates in preparation for the Town Meeting to be held on Saturday, November 22nd, at the Glen Ellyn Civic Center . At that time, residents will select from nominated candidates for Village President, Village Clerk, three Village Trustee positions and three Library Trustee positions. The candidates selected at this Town Meeting will appear on the spring general election ballot and if elected, will take office in May 2009. Residents interested in being interviewed as prospective candidates should go to Civicbetterment.com <http://civicbetterment.com/> to download an application, or call Dean Clark, President of Civic Betterment at 630-858-8099 or Alex Demos Nominating Committee Chairman at 630-469-3866. In addition to Dean Clark and Alex Demos, Nominating Committee members include Glen Ellyn Residents: Jeff Mansfield, Mark Luginbill, Sylvia Bartlett, Kathy Burkett, Erik Ford, Joe Montana, Michael Zeidman, Adam Kreuser, Lee Crumbaugh, Lyn Whiston, Barb Lemme, Anna Clarke, Chris Wilson, Eva Bonglovanni, Martha Pfefferman and Wendy Toyoma feel free to contact anyone of them for questions or assistance. Prospective candidates will be asked to complete a simple application and to be interviewed by the CBP Nominating Committee at the Glen Ellyn Civic Center on Monday evenings. The committee will conclude its interviewing process by Monday, October 13th 2008.
