I have noticed that this PD election has a number of candidates that are campaigning as a slate and putting up one sign.

Not that I want more signs up, but I must say that for local elections, I am not a big supporter of this kind of campaigning. I would like to think of the boards as comprised of a number of diverse opinions that are reflective of the entire community. I hope the candidates within the slates try to differentiate themselves.

Are any other groups running a slate of candidates for any local elections, besides the CBP?

Sorry, don't know the respone to your question, but have noticed the plethora of signs. Was wondering how (or whether) I was going to figure out who to vote for other than 1 or 2 individuals I have had recommended to me.

Dins,

Questionnaires have been filled out by the various candidates for the Daily Herald, Triblocal, etc. I think these are usually published near the end of March.

The League of Women Voters is hosting a Candidate forum on Sunday March 22nd. Details are as follows:

----
There are three contested local races on the April 7th ballot:

School District 41, Glen Ellyn Park District and Glen Ellyn Village president.

There are three UNcontested local races on the April 7th ballot:

School District 89, the Glen Ellyn Village board trustees and the Glen Ellyn Library board

Glenbard High School District 87 has only two candidates filed for four open seats.

Please attend the LWV Candidate Forum For contested races only)to meet the candidates and learn more about the offices they are seeking.

Sunday, March 22nd, 1 PM to 5 PM
Hadley Junior High School
Glen Ellyn, IL

All the candidates in the uncontested races are always invited to the forum and introduced from the floor.

It's the spending, Stupid!

It is a shame that the Glen Ellyn League did not include the Milton Township candidates in this forum like they did in Wheaton 2 weeks ago. Glen Ellyn residents should have the same opportunity to hear from their Township officials and wannabes...
