I've always like John McCain, despite some differences on issues. I wanted him to be the nominee in 1996. In 2000, I didn't really care between him or Bush. But now its 2008 and if elected he'd be 2 years older than Reagan was. I guess that's not too bad considering the differences in average lifespan between 1980 and 2008. I just wonder if people think he's too old.
The economy may tip this thing to a slam dunk for Democrats, but if it doesn't take a definitive downward turn, I think McCain would crush Hillary and more than likely beat Obama. In these times, the elder statesmen, military hero is more attractive than the youthful unity appeal.
Given what the office does to the jackasses that seek it out and win, I'd say he is way past his prime. I like the guy, though. But I fear he won't make it through the first term.
We support McCain. Have from the beginning. I wish he'd been elected in 2000. Can't help but wonder how different things might be if he'd won the nomination and not George W.

I thought it was common knowledge that Cheney is an animatron.

i'll say this, Cheney knows how to deal with rascally rabbits.
I saw him this fall riding his bike up my block...and he was wearing a hot pink backpack with what may or may not have been a picture of Hannah Montana on it.
