This is why any discussion of why things don't work in Springfield is so ridiculous.

It sounds like a junior high clique. "You were nice to our enemy so now you have can't sit at our lunch table." No wonder things are such a mess - people are supposed to represent their constituents, not their party.

It's amazing how the consituents of Democratic seats always seem to be represented by the views of Mike Madigan.

Also, from the article
quote:
The demotions were a rare show of partisan force by the minority leader, who came to his role by offering rank-and-file House Republicans more of a say in internal matters and backing away from strong-arm tactics

[snip]

"But I don't quarrel with that," Black said. "Leader Cross appointed me to the position of deputy Republican leader and has every ability to take me out of that position. That's fine."

Sounds like much ado about nothing here, RMK. Especially considering that this action will have no effect on Biggins getting re-elected - he's retiring.

Yes. It's nothing. Just politics as usual. SOSDD. I don't care much for Madigan either.

Maybe this will lower Biggins' pension and Cross was just trying to save the Illinois taxpayers some dough? Big Grin
