Clinton's campaign weasel on Bill Maher
aahhh, never mind. "Everyone thinks their opinion matters. Don't argue with a nobody. A farmer doesn't bother telling a pig his breath smells like s***." |

After listening to her sing I'm surprised people didn't start shooting at her then.

I like this version Battle tested "A great many people think they are thinking when they are merely rearranging their prejudices." William James |

I think you people are being way too harsh, take a few snippets and you're ready to condemn the woman. I mean, haven't we
learned anything from the whole Reverend Wright controversy? Twisted I say, like a bag of ropes. Geesh!
"Have you seen my box?" |

Bitterboy, I would agree with you if this was the first time this had happened...but it certainly won't be the last...
It's the spending, Stupid! |

I think he's being sarcastic...I could be wrong but I don't think so. I won't go into my litany why this situation with Hillary
is totally different than the situation with Reverend Wright.

As a voter, neither situation makes me comfortable.

A more incredible scenario for the ability of the Dems to walk into the White House could not have been written by a non-striking
Hollywood writer. These two @ss pilots have certainly done their best to make a recently Republican-hating America embrace
that little gnome from Arizona.

The whole thing is interesting. I guess I will go into it since I am tired of things getting blown out of proportion and misunderstood.
I mean, we get - what - five or six snippets of sermons given by this pastor who just retired after a very long and full career
as a pastor, and we deem him completely crazy.
Being of a slightly older generation, he may have a different perspective than many younger folks would have (realizing there are some people on this BB who may be closer to this pastor's age than I am). He lived through the civil rights movement. He experienced the discrimination and violence first hand. He saw black leaders gunned down. Also, we have no context surrounding why he said what he did. While I totally agree that his statements are pretty "out there", would you view some of these statements slightly differently if you knew that one of the sermons took place right after a major police brutality case by a white officer against a black person in that community? Also, I go to church probably 50-60% of the time. I don't hear my pastor's sermons every week and rarely do I ever talk to anyone about what was said last week when I missed church. I'm sure Obama was not in attendance at all of these sermons. When I do go to church, my pastor (and pastors/priests from the past) sometimes say things that I don't agree with. Likewise, they say things I agree with but others in attendance might not agree with. I grew up in the Catholic Church and when a new priest came in, during my high school years, he said some pretty outrageous and downright hateful things. This was a man whom I had no relationship with yet I was a leader in our church youth group. I actually met with the priest to explain to him some of the problems he was creating in the church. When he ignored my concerns (I was representing the concerns of the youth), I wrote to my bishop who accused me of threatening the priest and being hateful. Those of you who know me, would likely know that I'm just not like that - never have been. I tell you this story because it came to that level - week upon week of hateful sermons, personal meetings, and much work to try and improve things before I was willing to walk away from my church (this took about a year). I believed in my church. I was invested in my church. And I certainly didn't expect to be judged by outsiders by my faithfulness to my church community despite the actions of this priest. I don't think it occurred to Barack Obama to leave his church when the pastor he so admired went off the deep end a few times. If you read his book, "The Audacity of Hope," the title of which was straight from this pastor's mouth, you will know that there is much more good to this pastor than these few awkward and inflammitory sermons. Besides, it should comfort you all that he stayed faithful - afterall, if he was a truly political beast all along, he would have been more concerned about his affiliation with the pastor based on those few bad things we've heard and walked the first time he heard something he didn't agree with. I contend that thinking, intelligent people debate and engage in conversation with people when they don't agree - they don't just stomp out of the room. Case in point, this BB! |

Hence the reason BO wants to distance himself. That and that Tawana Brawley thing.

I was on a flight from ORD-LAX with Jesse Jackson onboard. I think you would be hard pressed to find a more arrogant, racist
sob than this guy. BO is wise to put as much distance between them and it's easy to do. Just tell Jesse that there are some
national media at ____________ and he'll make a bee line to be there.
BTW-Still awaiting his apology to the Duke LaCrosse team. "Everyone thinks their opinion matters. Don't argue with a nobody. A farmer doesn't bother telling a pig his breath smells like s***." |

I don't know 'bout the rest of y'all, but if I am being shot at by a sniper....even if were only 3 or 4 years-old...I am going
to remember every itty bitty minute detail. There would be no confusion.

Clam, again, we are supposed to feel sorry for her because she is sleep deprived. I am surprised the tears didn't come out
again during her "real" recollection of the events.....

I still recall clearly my buddy shooting me in the thigh with his Crossman 880 BB gun when I was 13. I had a welt on my thigh for a week. BB gun battles as a yoot-Stupid yes, but good times. And I still have both eyes. As I recall most of the military guys wanted to steer clear of Hillary when she visits. Same thing happened when she visited Iraq as a Senator. It's no secret the Clintons are not beloved by the military. I just find it funny that the liberal bastion CBS ratted her out "Everyone thinks their opinion matters. Don't argue with a nobody. A farmer doesn't bother telling a pig his breath smells like s***." |
