At least you were good enough to take me to the hospital...after you picked up all the tennis balls....and after you swept up the entire court. That 20 minutes on the ground spent waiting for you was a real character builder.

I had to do what was right for Glen Ellyn. Never leave the clay courts without sweeping and cleaning the lines. It's not like the achiles tendon is going to fuse itself back together. It's always someone else's fault with you. Like I strapped soccer shoes on your feet. I begged you to quit when it started misting...but no...you insisted on forging ahead.

You begged to stop because you were on the verge of losing....to a novice. That would have been too big a blow to your inflated ego and that's when you decided to take me out. Don't think I didn't notice that smug look of satisfaction. You might as well have been a Kobra Kai "Get him a body bag...YEAH!!!"

Hated you ever since.

I'm sorry to hear about your injury Ruydah...that is very painful...my husband had the same injury from just diving off a board into the pool this summer. Good luck and I hope your recovery is speedy!

It happened 3 years ago...just that the memories are still fresh whenever "Clay courts" and "Clamato" are brought up. Did I mention that I blame him?

Rehab was a bear.

Your recollections about playing in a winnable manner, let alone that we were even playing any sort of a match to begin with must have been produced by the immense pain that you were allegedly suffering.

Again, you are stronger from the entire experience...yet I never received a thank you. Never.

And I doubt that Mr. Fish is 2000 SS lxi...because a boat of that vinatge would not suit him. It would be positively down market.

my email was sent at 4:30. Potts replied at 9:30 and you at 7:20 the next morning. I guess that is within "hours", but hardly timely.

Thought you were talking about the earlier e-mails of the same day. E-mails that I responded to in a timely manner.

My apologies to you, sir.

He did. It was the worst round I've played in the last decade. Then he defeated my team in the EdPosh...but I strictly blame my partners for their failures (sans Dell...we were carrying those other two hacks all day Smile) Grateful is apparently my kryponite.

Yes. In fact, that was the round that finally forced me to the doctor. Bad news (for me - you only care about yourself), played today...shoulder pain is back.

BTW - Weren't we supposed to go out tonight with the guy that is trying to buy a friend's foreclosed home for personal benefit all the while building new developments in the City right on top of other people's home - thus destroying their property value and the dude I hate whose foot you intentionally injured and left to die?

Blame Clamato: I was merely the invitee. He has this great idea about dinner and a couple of cocktails and has been trying (or not really) to put it together for ah........2 years.

Just tell him that I am available on any Wednesday night or Saturday afternoon. I am sure my invitation was lost by the less than reliable "Pete" the mailman.

Pete is the best. I was stunned when the man pulled our block off of his route. The man is a dick.

Fish:

Thanks for taking time on Saturday to spend a few hours with us novices. I think we all had a good time. I'm disappointed that the GE Park District felt the need to post "No Alcoholic Beverages" signs. Seems to take a lot of fun out of the game.

Grateful:

Any repeated miscalculation of the score was strictly based on my advancing age and lack of ability to focus my attention longer than 2-3 minutes at a time. But I must admit...I did lose track of the score several times Saturday. My apologies.

Potts:

You're still an idiot.
