Is anyone besides Grateful (what's the bet?) and me, or their significant others, playing in the Ed Posh event?

Yes...and I have a secret weapon/partner...

I lay awake at night wondering if there is a dog.

Will he be sipping vodka?

If so, we all should watch out.

Mr. Scotty will be playing and as usual I will arrive in the evening to party and bid on goodies. This is such a great event that honors an awesome Village Links icon, that I am always pleased it is so well supported.

Fish, Candidate and MainStreeter should be commended on their heroic Ed Posh victory.

John's backswing. John could learn a few things from Fan and his buddy.

How did you know that before the event?
My reputation precedes me I guess.
And for the record, it is only double digits.

I hate to say, but the event was subpar at best this year.

For starters, the golfer token gift was a tiny towel compared to a dozen Titleist's last year.
The booze was priced ridiculously at $4 for a 10 oz. draft and $7 for a lower shelf mixed drink.
The silent auction prizes and live auction prizess were far fewer and of much less quality than last year. They weren't too smart about it either; closing the silent auction at 8pm before most folks had more than one drink in them and the live auction went off at that time as well.
I've been a sponosor for the event for years and the bozo's in charge never even bothered to call me to inquire about my financial support.

Lastly, the biggest buzz kill was two in uniform cops walking though amongst the guests all night long. What's with that?

Last year a ton of people move inside the restaurant top dance until after 1am. This year is was emptied by around 11pm.

After taking a great step forward to one of the "can't miss it" social events in 2007, I think it took a giant leap backward.

The only good news was that Fish turned down an offer to bet with his team against ours so I saved $20.

Grateful, unfortunately the Scotty's agree! It was quite a disappointment and we went home early which is very unusual for us!
