Fan , I wish I could say I'm surprised at you. ND can use all the help it can get. Have pity, wouldn't you? Peace.

The old boy is going to a camp there in a couple of weeks. As much as it pained me to write that check, it's a lot closer than the east coast.
I pray he doesn't fall victim to the hype while there.

he won't buy the hype if he's been well taught at home. it IS closer...i've sent my daughter to st. mary's for camp. (and she came home hype-free.) love the charlie with ak47 pix. you know, Fan, ND's problems shouldn't make us feel so good...but we cant help it!!! where is their AD going?

Heard that he committed to Charlie Weis. Don't know if it's true, if so, good luck. EDIT - Heard that it may not be true...yet.

I know for a fact that he made an official visit to Boston College a couple of weeks ago...I believe that there's still been no decision, but that he's getting close.

Notre Dame it is. Can't blame a kid for going to play football at Notre Dame - you can scratch your head and ask who would really want to play for Charlie Weis. Oh well, nice kid and nice family from what I've heard. I hope he does well there. I also hope Notre Dame does not. But, if Charlie Weis' coaching is any indication, I need not hope - he'll do poorly on his own. [All the above being equal - if I know Zook like I know Zook - his recruitment is not over]

a question for you, fan....is a verbal commitment binding? could you change your mind, say, half way through the season? i agree, hope chris watt does well where ever he ends up...and that West has a great season, starting on august 30!

Nothing is firm until the papers are signed and the first signing day is in August or September....can't remember.

God no. To see the hypocrisy of Watt's future coach, he chastised numerous high schoolers two years ago for verballing to Notre Dame and then later deciding to attend college elsewhere...all the while, recruiting verbally committed players of other institutions. Brief Summary I don't like that cheater at all. FYI - National Signing Day for football is usually the first or second week of February....so there's a lot of time. Basketball signing is usually in October.

I know we've had football players sign letters of intent earlier than the date you mentioned middlein, but here is a link for the official letter of intent dates.
