Management at the Village Links is finally trying to move out of the dinosaur age and give itself a facelift. It only took about 10 years of ongoing prodding.

If this happens we will return one of the jewels of GE to a more prominent place in the golf community.

BTW, no tax dollars are used at the VL, it is self sufficient.

Curious to see what the reworked practice greens are like. And a 250-yd #1 on the nine-hole is not an improvement.

Heard some rumors that an outside vendor may be looked at to offer/manage the food service at the clubhouse. It this also being discussed?

That idea of an outside vendor has come and passed as the VL's GM is totally against any outsider showing them how to run the food service business.

He doesn't want to give up any control even if it meant a far superior experience for all those that visited the VL.
