We usually park at O'Hare when we travel but have been thinking that's a needless expense. Can anyone recommend a car service or other means of O'Hare transportation? How much are we looking at?
We always use American Taxi - it's about 40 bucks one way to O'Hare, and they have nice automated system so you can schedule ahead of time. I'd say 90% of the time we've had excellent results, which is pretty good for any taxi service. It's definitely cheaper than paying for parking at O'Hare if you're going to be gone more than 24 hours.
When my publisher pays, I get to be picked up in a nice black Town Car run by Music Express, which is a private car service. I have no idea what they charge; I can only assume it's a lot more than American Taxi.
I use Embarque (312-983-6323) and very pleased with the service. Plus, they're in other major cities too. They use fully loaded Camry Hybrids. Always on time, and will track your flight home for you, so they're there waiting for you when you walk out the door. It's about $65 bucks one way. Certainly cheaper alternatives out there though.
