Taking two little bugs to see A Christmas Carol at the Goodman on Sunday. Show starts at 2pm and I thought I could catch a moderate priced dinner nearby afterwards. Any thing in that price range come to mind?
We saw it last weekend. You will be out by 4:20. Within walking distance, Harry Caray's is not bad. We had lunch there before the show. Dick's Last Resort is at Marina City. Melting Pot is on 600 N. Dearborn. My kids also liked Big Bowl on Ohio. ESPN Zone is right there also.
Make sure you park at the government center attached to the Goodman. They have discounted vouchers at the gift area. Just ask. DO NOT park across the street.

If you look at the actual Goodman site, it has a link to nearby restaurant and there are discounts.
How I wish, how I wish you were here. We're just two lost souls Swimming in a fish bowl, Year after year, Running over the same old ground. What have we found? The same old fears. Wish you were here.
Petterinos restaurant is in the same building as the Goodman and is a short walk to the train. However, do make reservations as they cater to the theater crowd. There are plenty of other restaurants in the theater district. I really like South Water Kitchen. Corner Bakery might appeal to kids so that is also an option.
