Does anyone have any suggestions on a limo service that is reliable and affordable for a trip from GE to Midawy Airport?

We've always used American Taxi (630) 305-0700 -they are affordable and very reliable. Not a limo, but they also have vans if you need more room.

I agree on American Taxi. Last time I used them, about two months ago, they offered a $38 flat rate for two from GE to Midway. Sometimes they use a minivan, which provides the space if not the wine bar of a limo.

Hmmmm...wonder how long Midway will be closed from the plane accident. When's your flight SOT?

Soon, but not that soon Amy.

Flying during the wintertime always makes me skiddish (pun intended). I am just looking forward to a little warmer weather and time away from work.

Hope it's a good, relaxing trip! I figure Midway is "jinx-proofed" now for a good while... Smile

Thanks to all for the advice. We called a couple of taxi companies and a limo and found that parking onsite was cheaper by far. Luckily we were able to get a relative to drop us off and pick us up.

We just returned this evening from Central Florida, where the weather was OK. The Everything Un-Disney Tour went very well. Kennedy Space Center was amazing (as expected), Gatorland was another kids favorite and the 8-10 foot swells in Cocoa Beach proved to be quite the ride. I highly recommend Dixie Crossroads in Titusville, (10 mile or so from KSC) a great dinner for 4 adults 3 kids including fresh lobster, shrimp and prime rib and beer for $107, unbelievable.

Getting thru security at Midway was not very bad, although it proved to be disorganized at times. Orlando (MacCarron) airport was just as disorganized and I was pretty PO'ed when I claimed my bags to find all my locks had been cut off, even after I watched my bags pass security. Gee I guess those seashells my son picked must have locked pretty daunting.
