| I can't start my lawnmower without holding down a lever. Seems astounding that a carny can release a kid into a 100-foot freefall without comparable mechanical safeguard. |

| Perplexed, and then you wonder why I avoid Wisconsin Dells? I prefer to deal with people higher up on the food chain. |

| We had to go up there last week for a volleyball thing...there were kids from California, Utah and New York on my son's team. My favorite question came from one of the moms from Southern Cal- "What IS this place? I just don't understand!" I tried my best to explain, but I'm not sure that I made it any clearer to her!
Oh, and there were also teams there from Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and Chile, as well as pretty much every state. I have NO idea what some of them must have thought! |

| Gotta speak up for the Dells...my kids love the Waterparks there. We have spent a few nights at both the Kalahari or Great Wolf Lodge during our Spring Break. We also had a great time at Noah's Ark! I should say that Noah's Ark is the furthest we have ventured into the actual Dells. I can see where it is a tourist trap...but my family does enjoy both Kalahari and GWL. (BTW-I would never try the attraction that was in the news!) |
