I just registered my oldest for Kindergarten for the 08-09 school year. Included in the packet are two forms seeking donations. One is for PEP 41 and the other is for the Music Education Foundation (MEF). The MEF flier is relatively descriptive but the PEP 41 flier is totally vague. It speaks to "enriched learning opportunities" and "curriculum enhancing projects".
I don't have any children in D41 yet, so I'm not really sure what these two entities do for the children of D41. Are parent donations to these organizations intrinsic to the children's "lifestyle" in the district? If so, what is an appropriate donation amount? The MEF lists tiers of donations, that helps a bit, but PEP 41 just lists a blank line.

If you go to District 41's homepage, on the upper right hand corner you can click on "LINKS." This opens a list of organizations where you can click to their websites. This should give you all of the information you want.
