All of you moms out there are justifiably proud of your children. None more so than the moms who got to see their children perform Alice In Wonderland the last two nights at Hadley. Direction, chroreography, costumes and the kids were great.
When the kids are singing the lyrics to the play on their way out to the cars, and acting out their roles at the cast party, you know they loved being in this play. Thanks to all involved for making this happen. Thanks to Dr. Dransoff for his support on this.
There were auditions for the play. This was the first musical for a few years at Hadley. At the elementaries, or at least the one I am most familiar, any kid who wants to be in the play gets a part (maybe with one line, a joke, or as part of an ensemble). Afterall, these are school plays we are talking about not Broadway, which makes it all the more fun.
