My mother-in-law is planning a family vacation for next year. She wants to plan it over Spring Break, but needs to see whether all the grandkids are on break at the same time.

I've noticed for the past three years, D41's Spring Break is the week that straddles March and April. Is that the way it is every year?

I saw that this years calendar was approved in April, but she's been asking me at least twice a week if I know the dates - so I'd like to give her an answer if I can.

In 2007 it was Sat 3/24- Sat 3/31 (almost all March) while in 2008 it was Sat 3/29- Sat 4/5 (almost all April). The last few years as I recall were about 50/50 March/April.

Next year is a tough call. I would guess it will be 3/24-3/31 again, but I suppose they could go the next week 3/31-4/7.

District 87 approved their 2011/12 calendar last week with Spring Break from 3/26/12 to 3/30/12. District 41 is typically the same.

Spring break always starts the last Monday in March.
